The Four Immeasurables
Love – The wish that all beings are happy
Compassion – The wish that all beings are free from suffering
Joy – The feeling of knowing that all beings will eventually be happy
Equanimity – Everyone gets the same love as we have for our mothers or dearest friend without exception
“Love, compassion, joy, and equanimity constitute the “four immeasurables” that are the very core of Mahayana practice. When these four attitudes penetrate our mind and guide our way of thinking, talking, and acting, this is called bodhicitta” Bokar Rinpoche – Chenrezig Lord of Love
